CANTON, Ohio — Two men were arrested and charged with murder and complicity to murder in connection with a fatal shooting that caused a crash in Canton Wednesday afternoon.
Around 12:15 p.m., police responded to the 900 block of Struble Avenue NE for reports of a crash and shooting.
Once on the scene, officers found a vehicle that had struck a garage. The driver, later identified as Aaron Peterson, 23, was found unresponsive inside the vehicle.
Investigators determined Peterson suffered gunshot wounds to the back which caused him to crash into the garage.
Peterson was transported to Mercy Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, police said.
After the incident, police arrested Brandon Jones, 20, and charged him with felonious assault and murder. Police also arrested Jaedyn McCallup, 20, and charged him with felonious assault and complicity to murder.
Both men are scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
