CANTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Two people were killed in an early morning fire in Canton Township Friday, according to the Stark County Sheriff’s Office.
At around 4:39 a.m., township firefighters and deputies from the sheriff’s office responded to a structure fire at 2706 Sherr Ave. SE in Canton Township.
During the search, firefighters discovered the bodies of two people who were located inside the badly damaged structure.
Their identities have not yet been released and a cause has not been determined.
The case remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office, Canton Township Fire Department and Ohio State Marshal’s Office.
