AKRON, Ohio — Akron police are investigating a shooting that left two teens injured with gunshots wounds Sunday night.
Police responded to the area of Lovers Lane and Talbot Avenue at around 8:40 p.m. and saw a large group of people running from the area.
At the scene, police were notified that two teens, a 17-year-old and a 16-year-old, were transported with gunshot wounds to local hospitals by a private vehicle. Police said the 17-year-old was shot in the abdomen and the 16-year-old in the back.
Detectives determined there were two groups shooting at each other near Lovers Lane Market.
