A 20-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed while walking in Canton Tuesday night, authorities confirmed.
Canton resident Roy Hunt was struck by a truck driven by a 20-year-old Canton resident at about 9:13 p.m. Tuesday, according to Canton police. The truck was traveling east on Mill Road when it struck Hunt, who was walking west on the same road.
Hunt was taken to Aultman Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The crash is still under investigation. No charges have been filed against the driver at this time. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to call the Canton Police Traffic Bureau at 330-438-4486.
