AKRON, Ohio — A 21-year-old man was shot and killed near Lane Field Park in Akron on Tuesday night.
At around 9:40 p.m., Akron police responded to the area of Howe and Moeller avenues for reports of shots fired.
Officers found an unresponsive 21-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds lying in the grass near the baseball field of Lane Field Park.
The man was later pronounced dead at the scene at 10:23 p.m.
The medical examiner will give an update once next-of-kin have been notified.
