AKRON, Ohio — Akron police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash in the area of I-277 westbound and I-76 eastbound Monday morning.
Officers responded around 10:40 a.m. to the area of I-277 for a motorcycle crash.
A 26-year-old man, whose identity has not yet been released, was thrown from a motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
Investigators said the victim appeared to have missed the ramp while traveling west on I-277, causing him to veer off the roadway and into a grassy area to the left of the ramp.
It’s unknown if alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
