AKRON, Ohio — The Akron Police Department and the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating after a 36-year-old woman was found shot and later died Wednesday morning, according to a release.
On Wednesday at around 3:30 a.m., police responded to the 1100 block of Princeton Street for a shooting victim.
A 36-year-old woman was found with a gunshot wound to her neck.
She was transported to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center Emergency Department where she was pronounced dead at 3:57 a.m.
There have been 44 homicides for 2020, according to Akron police.
