AKRON, Ohio — A man was found shot and killed on Thornton Street Saturday morning.
On Saturday at around 11:25 a.m., officers responded to the 800 block of Thornton Street for reports of shots fired.
Officers located a 47-year-old man outside lying on the ground with a gunshot wound.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office.
No arrests have been made, police said.
Once positive identification has been made, the medical examiner’s office and police will provide an update.
