CANTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The Canton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash involving a motorcycle that killed a 50-year-old man from South Carolina on Sunday.
Police responded at around 9:26 a.m. to State Route 43 near milepost 10 in Canton Township in Stark County.
Troopers said a 71-year-old man was operating a minivan, traveling southbound on State Route 43, when a motorcycle operated by William Skelton, 50, of Clover, South Carolina, went left of center and struck the minivan.
Skelton was ejected from the motorcycle and sustained fatal injuries in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
