A 19-year-old man was injured on Wednesday night when several shots were fired into a house on Akron's west side.
The shooting happened in the 900 block of Whittier Avenue around 8:30 p.m., according to police detectives. The victim told officers he was inside the home with a group of people when bullets tore through the house.
The teen was shot in the leg and was transported to a nearby hospital in serious condition, police said.
Authorities were called back to the same location several hours later after a resident reported that the house was shot up a second time. No one was injured in the second shooting, police said.
The victim said she saw a red car and a black car outside the house when the shooting happened, according to authorities. No further information has been provided.
