Police announced on Friday the arrest of a suspect who was wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a 20-year-old man in Akron on Tuesday.
Devon C. Williams, 21, has been charged with murder, according to Akron Municipal Court records.
Authorities said Williams was identified as the suspect in the homicide of Shawn Prude, 20, was shot on Tuesday.
Police responded to the 1200 block of South Arlington Street around 10 a.m. to investigate the shooting. When authorities arrived, they found Prude lying in the road with multiple gunshot wounds. Prude was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
Williams has a court arraignment scheduled Saturday at 8 a.m.
