AKRON, Ohio — The Akron Police Department is looking for a man who took a bulldozer from a construction site and used it to plow into a house, a parked car and a chain-link fence on Friday.
Officers responded to the 700 block of Inman Street at around 4 p.m. for reports of a bulldozer hitting a home.
Several residents inside the home told police that they heard the front of the house being hit by a vehicle, and when they looked outside, they saw a man driving a bulldozer towards the house.
The male on the bulldozer struck the house again.
A resident called police to let them know about the man on the bulldozer.
"I believe this dude was in his underwear," the 911 caller said.
A resident in the home noticed there was damage to a car parked in the driveway, along with a chain-linked fence around the front yard.
The man drove off with the bulldozer, which was found unoccupied at the intersection of East Crosier Street and Lafollette Avenue. The bulldozer was taken from Chittenden Street and Bittaker Street.
The male on the bulldozer is believed to be 25-35 years old, weighing approximately 150-180 pounds, with short hair.
