AKRON, Ohio — A 24-year-old man was found shot in the head inside a vehicle in Akron on Saturday morning, according to the Akron Police Department.
Around 2 a.m., officers responded to multiple calls of shots fired in the 300 block of South Main Street.
Once on scene, officers found the 24-year-old man inside of a 2007 Chevrolet with an apparent gunshot wound to the head, police said.
Police said the man was shot by an unknown person as he drove through a parking lot. Police had received reports of an altercation before the shooting occurred.
The man was transported to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center where he remains in critical condition.
Police do not have a description of the shooter, and the case remains under investigation.
