AKRON, Ohio — The Akron Police Department is investigating after a drive-thru was broken into twice in less than three hours.
Officers were called to Kelly’s Drive Thru in the 700 block of Copley Avenue around 2 a.m. Monday morning for a report of a burglary, police said.
Once on scene, officers found a door that had been forced open and property inside of the drive-thru damaged. A burglar took an undisclosed amount of cigarettes, according to police.
Later in the morning, around 4:30 a.m., officers were called back to the drive-thru for another report of a burglary, police said.
Back at the scene, officers found the same door had been forced open again and an unknown number of cigars were taken this time, according to police.
Police do not have a suspect description at this time and the incidents remain under investigation.
