Akron police investigating break-in at Canal Park Stadium

AKRON, Ohio — Akron police are investigating after receiving a report of a break-in at Canal Park Stadium Thursday morning.

Officers arrived at Canal Park Stadium around 10:20 a.m. and an employee at the facility said he had arrived and found the baseball stadium had been broken into overnight, police said.

During the break-in, offices were ransacked and an undetermined amount of property was stolen, according to police.

Canal Park Stadium is home to the Akron RubberDucks, the Double-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians.

Police said no arrests have been made and there are no suspects at this time.
