Two people were found shot dead early Friday morning in an Akron apartment in what appears to be a murder-suicide.
Akron police responded to an apartment just after midnight in the 700 block of Druid Walk in the Parklane Manor Apartments after someone called a male relative did not show up to work, according to a news release.
When officers arrived at the apartment, they found two people — a 22-year-old male and a 21-year-old female — in an upstairs bedroom with gunshot wounds.
A relative initially found the two in the bedroom, police said.
The names of the two people are being withheld until relatives are notified.
The Summit County Medical Examiner's Office will conduct autopsies.
