Akron police looking for man who robbed Fifth Third Bank Thursday

AKRON, Ohio — A Fifth Third Bank in Akron was robbed Thursday afternoon, according to Akron police.

It happened around 2:40 p.m. in the 500 block of S. Canton Road.

According to police, the man passed a note to a teller and demanded money. He then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

The man appeared to be about 25 to 30 years old, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighed around 165 pounds. He was dressed in a dark-colored hat and a white Adidas sweater. He was also wearing black sweatpants, white Adidas shoes, and a face mask.

Police urge anyone with information about the robbery to contact police detectives at 330-375-2490 or CrimeStoppers at 330-434-COPS.
