A Kent man is under arrest after he allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend's Akron home and stabbed a man who was in bed with her.
According to Akron police, 20-year-old Dalton Gordon entered the home on Botnick Place around 4 a.m. through an unlocked window.
When he noticed his ex-girlfriend was with a different man, he allegedly took out a Bowie knife and stabbed the 27-year-old man in the chest.
The victim was able to grab a belt buckle and hit Gordon in the head.
The 23-year-old stabbing victim also suffered a serious hand injury and was taken to Summa Akron City Hospital.
Gordon was taken to Akron General Medical Center, treated for minor injuries and then transported to the Summit County Jail.
He was charged with felonious assault, aggravated burglary, domestic violence, menacing, violation of a protection order and facsimile handgun because he was in possession of a BB gun that had the orange tip removed.
Gordon had a temporary protection order against him stemming from a February domestic violence case involving his ex-girlfriend.
