Richard Edwards has seen a lot in his 14 years as the Public Information Officer for the Akron Police Department, but he said doesn’t think he’s ever seen anything like what was in the daily report for Friday, October 19.

As Edwards does on a daily basis, he sent the document to the News 5 newsroom, but this time, with an intriguing note: “Please take the time to read this fascinating report!  I don't think I have had anything like it in almost 14 years as the PIO.”

The daily report typically includes descriptions of crimes both mundane and serious – OVIs, shootings, burglaries, robberies, assaults, and the like.

But what we found in Friday’s daily report shocked even us.
