A 12-year-old Akron boy has been arrested after police said he brought a gun to school.
On Monday, a child at Bridges Learning Center reported to teachers and deputies that they saw a gun being brandished by another student.
Detectives found a loaded semi-automatic pistol hidden in the back of a school transport van.
Officials said the gun was never brought onto the grounds of the school.
Authorities learned that the gun was stolen the day before from an Akron residence.
The owner was unaware that the gun had been stolen.
The 12-year-old was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon and theft of a firearm.
