AKRON, Ohio — An Akron Public School teacher has been placed on administrative leave after a concerning video was circulated on the internet, according to the district.

The district removed the Kenmore-Garfield High School teacher from class Wednesday and began an immediate investigation.

The district said the video is cause for concern.

"We have been in frequent contact with our families and students at the school to offer information, counseling and answer questions," director of marketing communication Mark Williamson said.

The district has not released the name of the teacher.
