AKRON, Ohio — An Akron woman was robbed after going on a date with a man she met through Snapchat.
Police said the 35-year-old met the man in the parking lot of a business in the 200 block of East Exchange Street on Sunday around 3:15 p.m.
When she got into the vehicle, the man drove to the area of Wheeler and Sherman streets, according to police.
Police said another man walked up to the passenger window, brandished a handgun and told her to get out of the car.
The man took personal items from the woman and then got into the passenger's seat of the car, according to police. Both men fled south on Sherman Street.
The driver of the car was a man between 30 and 31-years-old and weighed between 180 and 200 pounds with a beard.
The suspect with the gun was between 25 and 26 years old, between 6 feet and 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighed between 170 and 180 pounds and had braided hair.
The suspects drove away in a silver Chevrolet HHR.
