The Canton Fire Department worked to extinguish a structure fire Friday afternoon.
The apartment building that was on fire is located in the 100 block of 17th Street NW.
According to a post from the fire department, the 3rd Battalion was able to get the fire under control.
When fire crews arrived at the scene of the fire, the fire was coming out of the roof, and occupants were exiting the building, officials said.
According to Canton fire, there were no injuries, and two buildings were damaged, causing at least a dozen people to be displaced.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
