Canton police asking for tips to solve homicide after man is shot

CANTON, Ohio — The Canton Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that happened Wednesday evening near 9th Street and Fulton Avenue NW.

According to police, officers responded to the location around 9 p.m. for a shots-fired call. While enroute, officers learned that a man who had been shot in the chest showed up at the hospital.

The man later succumbed to his injuries. He has been identified as DeShaun Tucker, 21, police said.

No additional information has been released.
