AKRON, Ohio — On Monday night, the Akron Board of Education voted to allow contact and non-contact sports to resume in the city.
The board previously voted down allowing sports, but two members changed their minds.
Akron has had three positive COVID-19 cases in athletes this summer, all were on different teams.
The district does not have the capability to test students so they will likely rely on parents to make that decision.
