AKRON, Ohio — Akron firefighters responded to a vacant house fire in the city's South Akron neighborhood early Wednesday morning.
Crews responded to 370 East Crosier Street for a vacant home fully engulfed in flames.
According to the Akron Fire Department, the fire had spread to another vacant home as crews put out the flames of the first home.
A giant cloud of smoke could be seen from I-76 southbound.
If you saw a giant cloud of smoke in south Akron near I-76 around 5:30 it was this mess at Sumner and Crosier. One house fully involved when @AkronFiredept got on scene and spreading to a second home. Both vacant. @fire_330 pic.twitter.com/YLPwnqqTsA
