AKRON, Ohio — A 28-year-old man was shot and killed in the West Akron neighborhood Saturday, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office.
On Saturday at approximately 9:20 p.m., officers responded to the area of Trigonia Drive and Rhodes Avenue for a shooting.
Jamaar Stevens was located with multiple gunshot wounds.
Stevens was transported to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center where he later died from his injuries early Sunday.
Detectives later determined Stevens was shot after a fight with an unknown person who fled the area in a silver SUV.
A detailed description of the shooter was not given by police.
