CANTON, Ohio — With the Ohio State Fair canceled and the future of county fairs undecided, fans of the food, a staple of Ohio summers, can get a taste of their favorite fare with or without a fair this year.

During Memorial Day Weekend, the Fair Food Drive-Thru event is being held at the Stark County Fairgrounds. From May 22 through May 25, fair food fanatics can drive into the fairgrounds and order their favorite items, from corn dogs and fries to funnel cakes and fresh-squeezed lemonade.

The Fair Food Drive-Thru runs each of the aforementioned days from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Stark County Fairgrounds are located at 305 Wertz Ave. in Canton. The entrance to the fair food drive-thru is on 7th Street.

A drive-thru fair food event at the Lorain County Fairgrounds is also being held this weekend.

From May 22 through May 24, a drive-thru fair food sale will take place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.

A specific traffic pattern has been created to keep the event organized. Philly cheesesteak sandwiches, Italian sausage, corn dogs, french fries, lemonade, funnel cakes, elephant ears, deep-fried Oreos, cotton candy and caramel apples will all be available for purchase.

The event at the Lorain County Fairgrounds is cash only.

The Lorain County Fairgrounds is located at 23000 Fairgrounds Rd. in Wellington.

At both events, guests must remain in their vehicles and take the food home with them to avoid congregating, per orders from their local health departments.
