LOS ANGELES — LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers won the 2020 NBA Championship over the Miami Heat in October and on Tuesday night during their first game of the new season, he was surprised by students from his school in Akron as he was presented with his fourth championship ring.
The Lakers took on the Clippers Tuesday night and during the pregame warm-ups, a video played in Staples Center that made James smile from ear to ear.

Students from James’ I PROMISE School in Akron congratulated the NBA star on winning his fourth title and thanked him for all he does for his community back home.
Later in the video, James’ mom, uncles and children also appeared in the video, congratulating him and virtually presenting him with the ring.
Even though he won his latest NBA title for a different team, Tuesday night was still a special moment for James and his hometown here in Northeast Ohio.
