AKRON, Ohio — A 28-year-old man was arrested after running over three people with his vehicle following a fight, according to the Akron Police Department.

Around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, officers were called to the 1200 block of Neville Avenue for reports of a fight.

Once on scene, officers were directed towards a disabled and damaged vehicle parked near the location of the incident, police said.

Officers located three people, two men and a woman, between the ages of 36 and 50 on the ground and injured after being struck by a vehicle, according to police.

All three individuals who were struck were transported to nearby hospitals. One of the men sustained a broken leg, police said.

The driver of the vehicle, 28-year-old Vernon Hollis, was arrested and charged with felonious assault.

Detectives determined from information gathered on scene that Hollis ran over the three individuals after an altercation that began inside of the home.
