A knife-wielding robber held up an Akron restaurant on Tuesday and made off with an undisclosed amount of money, according to Akron police.
The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. at Ms. Julie's Kitchen, 1809 South Main Street.
The robber entered the eatery just before closing time and approached an employee counting money in a back room, authorities said. The man brandished a knife and demanded the money from the employee.
After the cash was handed over, the robber ran off down South Main Street, police said.
The robber is described as a black male between 20 to 30 years old. Authorities said the man appeared to be about 6 foot tall and weigh between 140 to 150 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a black scarf over his face. He was also wearing black pants and gloves.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Akron police.
