AKRON, Ohio — U.S. Marshals have arrested a man accused of a fatal Akron shooting.
Thomas Unrue, 26, is accused of shooting and killing John Kovach, 29, on Dec. 18.
Kovach was found with a gunshot wound inside of a business in the 1000 block of Brown Street.
He later died at the hospital.
Unrue was found hiding inside of a home in the 1200 block of Nome Avenue on Wednesday.
“Akron Police worked quickly to identify this suspect and members of the task force worked diligently to get him off the streets. Although this case adds another homicide to the total number for the Akron area in 2020, it also clears another violent fugitive, and three guns off the streets before the end of the year," Marshal Pete Elliott said.
