The Jackson Township Police Department and Stow Police Department are searching for a man and a woman who allegedly committed two armed robberies within a week.
Shaun Phipps, 38, and Ashleigh Mayfield, 27, are wanted for allegedly robbing a Speedway in Stow and a Burger King in North Canton, both at gunpoint.
On Feb. 22 around 8 a.m., Stow police received a call from an employee at the Speedway in the 1000 block of Graham Road reporting they had just been robbed at gunpoint, police said.
Phipps and Mayfield stole cigarettes and cash before taking a set of keys from the back of the store that belonged to an employee and fleeing the scene in the employee’s vehicle—a 2016 Honda CRV, according to police.
A week later, on Feb. 29 around 6 a.m., Jackson Township police were called to a Burger King in the 4300 block of Portage Street for a report of a robbery.
Phipps and Mayfield entered the restaurant with a gun and demanded money before fleeing through a rear exit with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.
Warrants have been issued for both Phipps and Mayfield, according to police.
The two suspects are considered armed and dangerous. Police ask the public to not approach the two if they see them.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the two suspects is asked to call police immediately.
