AKRON, Ohio — A 23-year-old Parma man was lured by a girl he met on Snapchat to a carjacking and armed robbery in Akron Friday, police said.

Officers responded to the 1700 block of Nanaula Drive for a robbery and carjacking.

The 23-year-old man from Parma told officers that once he arrived to meet the girl, she led him to a home on Nanaula Drive where two men got in his car and assaulted and robbed him at gunpoint.

The man ran to a nearby house to call police after the girl and two men drove off with his car.

The 17-year-old girl was later located at a home on Carpenter Street. She was arrested after admitting her involvement in the robbery, according to police.

Police charged her with receiving stolen property.

The Akron Police Department Detective Bureau is working to identify the two unknown men involved in the robbery.
