Police arrest 5, seize 88 pounds of marijuana and $150,000 cash in Copley drug bust

AKRON, Ohio — Five people have been arrested and nearly 90 pounds of marijuana were seized when police raided a home in Copley last month.

According to Akron police, the following individuals have been taken into custody.

  • Andrew Richmond, 24
  • Seth Kane, 27
  • Michael Beckett Jr., 30
  • Marc Moore, 38
  • Donte Winn, 25

On Feb. 27, members of the Akron Police Narcotics Unit, Summit County Drug Unit, and the Drug Enforcement Administration converged on a home in the 2700 block of Glenhaven Avenue in Copley to execute a search warrant, police said.
Authorities were led to the Glenhaven Address after first conducting a search warrant at a home in the 800 block of Fried Avenue.

The above list of individuals were arrested. Additionally, police seized around 88 pounds of marijuana, nearly $150,000 in cash and a bank account with about $35,000 in it.

All five individuals have been charged with drug trafficking.
