AKRON, Ohio — A driver, who was wanted for shooting several rounds at two children playing basketball in Akron on Oct. 11, has been arrested, according to a report from the Akron Police Department.
DNA and other evidence identified Tyler Duncan, 19, as the suspect. He was charged with two counts of felonious assault, having weapons under disability, and carrying a concealed weapon.
His charges stemmed from a shooting incident on Oct. 11 in the 1400 block of Rockaway Street where he allegedly shot at two children playing basketball after they told him to slow down.
He allegedly stopped a few houses away and fired several rounds at a 15-year-old and an 11-year-old who were playing basketball outside.
Neither of the boys was struck and no injuries were reported.
Duncan was already in custody on unrelated warrants and drug charges since Oct. 12, police said.
