AKRON, Ohio — The Akron Police Department announced Saturday that roads in the immediate area of Downtown Akron have been closed to vehicular traffic for an “indefinite period of time.”
Police ask that anyone heading downtown this weekend park outside the barricades and then walk to your destination. Additionally, make sure that you park in a parking spot and not in front of any roads or businesses.
Police noted that Main Street is also closed due to road improvement construction.
