CANTON, Ohio — A semi-trailer truck apparently crashed into an Ohio State Highway Patrol vehicle on Interstate 77 near Canton Thursday afternoon.
A trooper was investigating a crash on I-77, when his car was struck.
The crash occurred in the southbound lane of I-77 between Shuffel Street and Portage Street, north of Canton, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation. The highway was shut down while crews were on scene.
The trooper and the people involved in the previous crash were injured, but are expected to be OK.
All lanes reopened after 5 p.m.
A Twitter user shared photos of the crash, which show a semi-truck crashed into the rear end of a OSHP vehicle.
