AKRON, Ohio — Multiple people are facing felony drug charges after Akron police seized drugs and weapons from two different homes on Tuesday.
Members of the Akron Police Department’s Anti-Violence Bureau, along with SWAT, conducted their first search warrant at a home in the 500 block of Lafollette Street.
Police seized 10 grams of methamphetamines and one handgun.
The following four adults were arrested and charged:
- Amanda Howard, 43, charged with possession
- Andrea Hilhoan, 32, charged with trafficking and weapons under disability
- Ray Cottrill, 49, charged with possession
- Cheyenne Porter, 23, charged with possession
On the same day, in the 800 block of Stanwood Avenue, officers seized one pound of powder cocaine, one ounce of fentanyl, half an ounce of methamphetamines, over $87,000 in cash and three loaded handguns from a home.
Shannon Sammons, 38 and Yalinda Cunningham, 37, were arrested and charged with trafficking and possession.
