AKRON, Ohio — A 22-year-old woman who has been on the run from police for allegedly killing another woman in Akron back in September has been arrested.

The suspect, Arianna Richardson, was arrested Tuesday afternoon by the U.S. Marshals' Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, according to Akron police.

She is facing multiple charges including murder, failure to comply, marijuana possession and probation violation, police said.

Richardson was spotted by Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers around 10 a.m. near Interstate 77 south and Ridgewood Road. Troopers attempted to pull her over, but she fled the area and managed to elude them, police said.

The task force later located her in the 700 block of East Crosier Street around 3 p.m. She was transported to the Summit County Jail following her arrest, authorities said.

Police allege that Richardson shot Willquian Jews, 23, during an altercation on Sept. 16. When authorities arrived on scene they found Jews lying in the street. She had been shot in the chest. She was transported to a nearby hospital where she died.
