Woman charged for attacking employee, destroying property in Summit County dentist's office

COVENTRY TOWNSHIP, Ohio — An irate Akron woman who allegedly trashed a dentist office Wednesday in Coventry Township is now facing a slew of charges.

According to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, Tamar Maple, 33, has been charged with vandalism, a fifth-degree felony; assault, a first-degree misdemeanor and disorderly conduct, a fourth-degree misdemeanor.

The incident happened at Kenmore Family Dental Center.

Authorities say that while at the office, Maple allegedly became upset and hit an employee. She then started throwing various items around and damaged a computer and a dental drill. Following the outburst, Maple left the scene.

Deputies said that due to the amount of damage Maple caused, an examination room had to be closed.

Maple was taken into custody after deputies located her at her home.
