Neighbors protest growing health hazard

Cleveland residents living in a west side neighborhood are extremely upset with growing piles of garbage being stacked up at a home on their street.

Dozens of trash bags surround the Treadway Avenue home of 61-year-old Anthony Kushlak, and residents believe it's a growing health hazard.

Neighbors said the garbage problem at the home has been going on for more than two years and so far the police, and Cleveland's health and building departments haven't been able to get Kushlak to clean-up.

News 5 contacted Kushlak who said he's piling up the garbage as payback because neighbors didn't help him when his home was broken into months ago.

Cleveland Councilman Tony Brancatelli said he's trying to negotiate a solution before the case goes to city court on April 11.
