The Cleveland Division of Fire Chief Anthony Luke and a captain from the department were taken to MetroHealth Medical Center after being involved in a crash Wednesday morning.
According to authorities, it happened just after 8 a.m. near East 23rd Street and Superior Avenue.
Luke and the captain were last known to be in stable condition.
Details surrounding the crash weren't released.
