CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — Cleveland Heights police are investigating the shooting death of a man Wednesday morning, according to Police Chief Annette Mecklenburg.
Officer responded at around 1:10 a.m. to the 2400 block of Noble Road for a male shot.
Officers located a 26-year-old man in the stairway with multiple gunshot wounds.
The man was later identified as Travon Decorrian Wesley Powell, 26, of East Cleveland, according to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office.
Officers immediately administered aid until EMS arrived. Powell was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
Preliminary information indicated Powell was involved in an argument with an unknown person(s) before he was shot.
No arrests have been made. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cleveland Heights Police Department at 216-321-1234.
