CLEVELAND — The USS Cod Submarine Memorial in Cleveland hosted a brief ceremony Monday at 11 a.m. marking the 79th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.

The program was jointly presented by the USS Cod crew, local submarine veterans, veterans of other armed forces, and the Sons and Daughters of Pearl Harbor Survivors.
“After a brief presentation, representatives of the Sons and Daughters of Pearl Harbor Survivors will cast a wreath on the waters in memory of the those who lost their lives on that ‘Day of Infamy’ when more than 2,000 US military and civilians were killed in the surprise attack that prompted the entry of America into WW II,” states a news release from USS Cod representatives.
The USS Cod is docked on North Marginal Road between East 9th Street and Burke Lakefront Airport.
