16-year-old in stolen vehicle leads police on pursuit throughout Cleveland resulting in crash

CLEVELAND — A 16-year-old boy was hospitalized after allegedly stealing a vehicle and leading police on a pursuit that ended in a crash in Cleveland’s Union-Miles Park neighborhood.

Around 3:18 a.m., officers initiated a pursuit with a stolen vehicle in the area of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Shaker Boulevard. The vehicle struck a zone car near Woodhill Road and then crashed into an unoccupied trailer at East 93rd Street and Meech Avenue, police said.

EMS responded and transported the driver, a 16-year boy, to University Hospitals in stable condition.

The incident remains under investigation.
