19-year-old riding bike shot, killed in Cleveland's Corlett neighborhood

CLEVELAND — A 19-year-old man is dead after being shot in Cleveland’s Corlett neighborhood, according to Cleveland police.

On Saturday around 2:40 p.m., officers responded to East 139th Street and Miles Avenue for a man shot, police said.

Police found the man lying on the sidewalk and administered first aid, until EMS arrived and transported him to University Hospitals, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

Investigators discovered the 19-year-old was riding his bike when the shooter approached him, pulled a gun and shot him multiple times. The shooter took the 19-year-old’s belongings and fled the scene, police said.

The 19-year-old victim has been identified as Montrall Talton, 19, according to the medical examiner.

The incident remains under investigation and a suspect has not been named at this time.
