CLEVELAND — A U.S. Marshals task force arrested two fugitives wanted for a deadly Valentine’s Day home invasion in Florida.

Cordarin Simmons, 32, and Jesse Square, 31, were apprehended in the 2100 block of West 98th Street in Cleveland by the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, according to a news release.

The suspects are awaiting extradition back to Florida.

Authorities say the Escambia County home invasion resulted with the beating death of the victim.

“Collaborative state and federal law enforcement efforts from Florida to Ohio resulted in the arrest of two violent fugitives. Our fugitive task force is and always will be dedicated to protecting the citizens of northern Ohio,” Assistant Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal Brian Fitzgibbon said.
