2 killed, 3 hurt in wrong-way crash in Cleveland

CLEVELAND — Two people were killed and three people were injured in a two-car wrong-way crash in Cleveland early Saturday morning.

The crash happened on State Route 76 near I-480 around 4 a.m.

According to Cleveland EMS, Beth Christiansen and Nicole Coots were pronounced dead at the scene. A 25-year-old woman, 23-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man were injured in the crash and transported to MetroHealth Medical Center in critical condition.

Cleveland police said the incident was a wrong-way crash. One of the persons who died was a driver of one of the vehicles involved and the other person who died was a passenger in the other vehicle.
