30-year-old man dead, 29-year-old woman arrested after incident in Cleveland

CLEVELAND — Cleveland police are investigating after a 30-year-old man was killed early Friday morning.

Around 12:30 a.m., officers were called to the 4200 block of East 146th Street for reports of shots fired and a man down in the street, police said.

Once on scene, officers found a 30-year-old man in the street with injuries to his head and body.

Preliminary information indicated that a 29-year-old woman was out looking for the man and when she located him she ran him over with her vehicle, police said.

It was not specified whether the man was pronounced dead at the scene or at a later time.

Police said that the woman and the man have a child together but are no longer dating. The woman was arrested, according to police.

The incident remains under investigation.
